{"id":412326,"date":"2026-01-17T05:35:08","date_gmt":"2026-01-17T05:35:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/412326\/"},"modified":"2026-01-17T05:35:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-17T05:35:08","slug":"nasas-spacex-crew-11-to-discuss-space-station-science-mission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/412326\/","title":{"rendered":"NASA\u2019s SpaceX Crew-11 to Discuss Space Station Science Mission"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After 167 days in space, the crew members of NASA\u2019s SpaceX Crew-11 mission will hold a news conference at 2:15 p.m. EST, Wednesday, Jan. 21, at the agency\u2019s Johnson Space Center in Houston to discuss their science expedition aboard the International Space Station.<\/p>\n<p>NASA astronauts\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/people\/zena-cardman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Zena Cardman<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/people\/edward-michael-mike-fincke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Mike Fincke<\/a>, JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Kimiya Yui,\u00a0and\u00a0Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov will answer questions about their mission. The crew members\u00a0returned to Earth on Jan. 15, splashing down off the coast of San Diego, and arrived in Houston on Friday, where they will undergo standard postflight reconditioning and evaluations.<\/p>\n<p>NASA will provide live coverage on the agency\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/nasa\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">YouTube channel<\/a>. Media participating by phone must dial into the news conference no later than 10 minutes prior to the start of the event to ask questions. Questions also may be submitted on social media using #AskNASA. A copy of NASA\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/general\/nasa-agencywide-media-accreditation-policy\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">media accreditation policy<\/a> is available on the agency\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p>The crew spent more than five months in space, including 165 days aboard the orbiting laboratory, traveling nearly 71 million miles, and completing more than 2,670 orbits around Earth.
