Jim Cornette, former WWE<\/a> figure and a well-known pro wrestling podcaster, made a sizable donation to a GoFundMe for TJ Sabula, a suspended Ford plant worker who was flipped off by Donald Trump<\/a> after calling the president a \u201cpedophile protector.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cTJ Sabula is a patriot!!\u201d fundraiser has raised $480,920 so far, including a $5,000 donation from Cornette, a vocal critic of Trump.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf anyone knows TJ Sabula I have a thank-you, a handshake and a check for $5,000 ready for him,\u201d Cornette wrote on X (formerly Twitter).<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re hearing the worker got suspended or fired,\u201d he added, \u201cIf anyone can hook me up with the REAL Ford worker I have $5,000 for him as a thank-you.\u201d<\/p>\n

The GoFundMe campaign<\/a> was launched shortly after video surfaced showing Trump flipping off Sabula during a visit to Ford\u2019s Michigan plant. Cornette and his wife, Stacey, are listed on the fundraiser page as contributors.<\/p>\n

Sabula later said he had \u201cno regrets\u201d about heckling the president.<\/p>\n

Trump was visiting the Dearborn Ford factory, where he observed Ford F-150 trucks \u2014 the top-selling domestic vehicle in the U.S. \u2014 at different points in production.<\/p>\n

Cornette, 64, has long been outspoken in his opposition to Trump, often using profanity on social media. <\/p>\n

He recently praised WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley, who announced he was leaving WWE over the company\u2019s association with Trump.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wish all the boys had his backbone and, more importantly, his morals,\u201d Cornette wrote. \u201cI don\u2019t think Mick Foley\u2019s on Twitter or I\u2019d tag him but I want to state publicly that while I\u2019ve always liked him, he has just become my favorite person in the world.\u201d <\/p>\n

He also shared video of former wrestler and Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura criticizing Trump as a \u201cdraft-dodging coward\u201d who has \u201cdestroyed the Constitution.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ventura was furious over the killing of a U.S. citizen, Renee Nicole Good, by an ICE agent in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n

\u201cFreedom is not arresting people without warrants. We have a system here. It\u2019s called a Constitution,\u201d Ventura said.<\/p>\n

Cornette is widely regarded as one of pro wrestling\u2019s most influential managers and personalities. He is best known for his work with World Wrestling Entertainment, owned Smoky Mountain Wrestling, and performed for WCW, Mid-South Wrestling, TNA, and Ring of Honor. <\/p>\n
