As a former Florida State<\/a> quarterback from Fort Lauderdale, Danny Kanell has a special and deep-seated aversion to Miami<\/a> football. So much so the CBS Sports analyst appears willing to potentially sacrifice his young daughter\u2019s education just to troll local Hurricanes fans at her school.<\/p>\n

Three days before No. 10 Miami plays No. 1 Indiana<\/a> in the 2026 College Football Playoff National Championship Game, the school Kanell\u2019s daughter attends apparently granted students the ability to wear Hurricanes gear in a sign of support ahead of Monday night\u2019s big game at Hard Rock Stadium in neighboring Miami Gardens. But as a Seminoles alum, Kanell had other ideas, instead dressing her in a crimson-colored T-shirt featuring an illustration of Hoosiers head coach Curt Cignetti<\/a> and the viral quote from his introductory press conference: \u201cIt\u2019s pretty simple, I win.\u201d<\/p>\n

She asked if I had anything she could wear so I gave her this shirt,\u201d Kanell wrote in Friday morning\u2019s X\/Twitter post<\/a>. \u201cShe said \u2018I don\u2019t think I\u2019m allowed. What if I get into trouble?\u2019 I told her I don\u2019t care if you get expelled you are wearing what I give you!!\u201d<\/p>\n

No word yet regarding how Kanell\u2019s troll job was received by his daughter\u2019s classmates or the school\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n

Of course, as most SEC fans already know, Kanell has never been shy about trolling, especially on social media, where he regularly pokes fun at SEC teams whenever the opportunity presents itself. That said, the ACC alum has been particularly kind to Miami of late.<\/p>\n

CBS Sports analyst\u00a0Danny Kanell\u00a0was glad to see justice was delivered when Miami<\/a>\u00a0made this year\u2019s College Football Playoff<\/a> field, leapfrogging Notre Dame<\/a>\u00a0for the 10th seed and final at-large bid courtesy of their Week 1 win.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Kanell declared the Fighting Irish \u201cgot screwed\u201d by the CFP selection committee, which didn\u2019t drop\u00a0Alabama<\/a> from its No. 9 spot in the CFP rankings despite a 28-7 loss to\u00a0Georgia<\/a>\u00a0in the SEC Championship Game.<\/p>\n

\u201cMiami deserved to be in\u2026.glad they get the chance,\u201d\u00a0Kanell wrote on X\/Twitter on Selection Sunday.<\/a>\u00a0\u201cBut now Notre Dame got screwed. They should have been in over Alabama.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kanell doubled down on his trolling of the Crimson Tide during Alabama\u2019s first-round Playoff game at Oklahoma<\/a> on Dec. 19, when he declared \u201cNotre Dame<\/a>\u00a0is better than both these teams\u201d in a pithy post shortly after the Crimson Tide built a 27-17 lead late in the third quarter of the eventual 34-24 win.<\/p>\n
