LAKEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) — A somber candlelight vigil was held and a GoFundMe<\/a> was launched the day after a man killed his wife and teenage daughter before fatally shooting himself at their Lakewood home.<\/p>\n

Sienna Alfaro, nicknamed Lilly by her soccer teammates, played for Beach Futbol Club.<\/p>\n

“If there’s one thing I could say about Lilly is that she is a ray of sunshine,” teammate Hazel Ferman said at the vigil. “She’s a very jolly person. Her smile would bright up the room. Her energy was just out of this world, man like she would walk in, even though she’s a shy girl, when she would smile is like everybody knew that we just connected.”<\/p>\n

Deputies responded at around 7:55 a.m. Thursday to the 5800 block of Lorelei Avenue, near South Street, to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.<\/p>\n

The caller stated that her father had shot at her and was now lying near her on the floor unconscious, according to authorities.<\/p>\n

When deputies arrived, they were met by an “extremely distraught” 19-year-old woman who was detained for questioning after she came outside. Inside the house, they found three deceased individuals — a 17-year-old girl, a man, and a woman.<\/p>\n

Deputies entered the home and found 52-year-old Hector Lionel Alfaro, lying on the floor in the den of the home suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper torso.<\/p>\n

As deputies continued through the home they located 48-year-old Roxana Rodriguez, the gunman’s wife, in a bedroom with a gunshot wound to her torso.<\/p>\n

A triple shooting that left a 17-year-old girl and two adults dead at a home in Lakewood was a murder-suicide, a city councilmember said.<\/p>\n

In a second bedroom, deputies found Sienna Alfaro suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper torso.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old woman, identified as Alfaro’s eldest daughter, heard gunshots inside the home while she was asleep. Hector Alfaro then appeared near her armed with a handgun and shot at her several times; however, she was not struck by gunfire. He then shot himself while standing near his 19-year-old daughter.<\/p>\n

Authorities said two firearms were recovered at the home.<\/p>\n

As of Saturday afternoon, the GoFundMe had raised more than $70,000.<\/p>\n

“This fundraiser is to support the surviving siblings as they begin the long journey of healing-helping with immediate needs (funeral services), counseling, living expenses, and creating some stability during an incredibly painful time,” a statement on the fundraising page<\/a> said. “Any donation, no matter the size, and even sharing this page, is a way to show love, support, and remind them they are not alone.”<\/p>\n
