One driver who has been the most impressive so far in the Xfinity season has to be Connor Zilisch. He is only a rookie, and 21 races into the season, he has already won 5 times. Not just that, he is currently 2nd in the points standing, only 21 points behind the points leader and defending champion, Justin Allgaier.<\/p>\n
Zilisch just never fails to amaze. For the last nine races, he has always finished in the top 5, thrice as the runner-up and four times as the race winner. That\u2019s impressive, given that this is only Zilisch\u2019s rookie season.<\/p>\n
Also, the prodigy pulled a special one at the recent Indianapolis Motor Speedway race, breaking a record that had been held for a long time by Cup Series\u2019 defending champion, Joey Logano.<\/p>\n

Zilisch\u2019s Indy win was special because it was also JR Motorsports\u2019 100th win in the Xfinity Series. Zilisch was delighted to win it for the team co-owner, Dale Earnhardt Jr., who jumped on the track to hug him as soon as the race was over.<\/p>\n
Naturally, the youngster was pumped. After the win, Zilisch said,<\/a> \u201cDude, this is awesome. Those bricks look really kissable, and I\u2019m ready to kiss them. This is awesome. 100 wins for JRM.\u201d So this automatically makes the race a memorable one for the 19-year-old.<\/p>\n Zilisch is now the youngest driver to get six wins<\/a> in a single season.<\/p>\n Zilsich turned 19 on July 22, making his age on the day of his Indy win 19 years and four days. Logano held the record before Zilisch since he was 19 years, four months, and 16 days old when he got his five victories. The Team Penske driver is currently 35 years old, so technically, he has held that record for more than a decade and a half.
