CLEVELAND (AP) \u2014 Cavaliers guard Darius Garland will be sidelined for at least one week due to a sprained right great toe.<\/p>\n

Garland suffered the injury on Jan. 14<\/a> at Philadelphia and missed Friday\u2019s game against the 76ers<\/a>. The Cavaliers said further evaluation and imaging on Saturday revealed a Grade 1 sprain. The seventh-year guard will be reevaluated in seven to 10 days as he undergoes treatment.<\/p>\n

The two-time All-Star has missed 16 games this season due to a nagging injury to his left great toe, which he struggled with<\/a> during the closing month of last season and the playoffs. Garland had surgery on the toe<\/a> during the offseason.<\/p>\n

Garland is averaging 20.2 points and 7.4 assists over this last 16 games. He was shooting 50.4% from the floor and made 42 of 100 3-pointers.<\/p>\n

The Cavaliers have been plagued by injuries all season. After having the best record in the Eastern Conference last season, they are 24-19 and fifth in the East going into Monday afternoon\u2019s game against the defending NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder.<\/p>\n
