Haas have officially lifted the covers on the VF-26, the car that will be raced by Oliver Bearman<\/a> and Esteban Ocon<\/a> in the 2026 F1<\/a> season.Haas unveil 2026 challenger<\/p>\n

The American outfit is the third team to reveal the livery and initial look of its challenger for next year, even if the final version remains a long way from what will line up on the grid for the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

As for the livery, Haas have stuck with their now-familiar white, red and black colour scheme \u2014 a design that has become a recurring trademark in recent seasons.<\/p>\n

One detail that stands out in particular is the GR branding on the engine cover, further underlining the increasingly close technical partnership between Haas <\/a>and Toyota.\"Haas<\/p>\n

The driver line-up is unchanged from last year, with Bearman and Ocon offering a balanced blend of youth and experience. The British driver, in particular, comes into 2026 off the back of significant progress during the final third of last season.<\/p>\n

Ayao Komatsu<\/a> remains at the helm as team principal, having taken over from Guenther Steiner and ushered in the now widespread trend of engineering-led figures stepping into the top leadership role across the paddock.Komatsu sets expectations for Haas ahead of 2026 seasonTeam principal Ayao Komatsu<\/a> outlined what could be realistic targets for the American outfit in the opening races, but stressed that any real assessment will have to wait until after pre-season testing.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirstly, before we go racing, and even testing, we need to get on top of energy management, that\u2019s the huge one. I don\u2019t know if we all understand the full extent of the challenge because we don’t know what we don’t know. <\/p>\n

\u201cThen with aero development, we\u2019re reasonably happy with what we’ve done so far, but as with all new regulations, the question will be, is the target we\u2019ve set good enough? When we get testing, I’m sure we\u2019re going to see different concepts, and if we\u2019ve missed something, we need to get on it very quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Komatsu, the key is ensuring the project remains aligned with the philosophy adopted from the outset \u2014 and that, should the car require a shift in direction, any change of concept must be made swiftly.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the first few races, rather than setting a sporting target, it’s more a target for us. First and foremost, get on top of PU management, then aerodynamic development. If we have to change direction or look at different concepts, again, we’ve got to do that promptly. To be able to implement certain things quickly, you’ve got to work as a team and have clarity on communication. These are things we\u2019ve been doing the last couple of years, and that’s going to be tested even more, but I feel like we\u2019re prepared.\u201d <\/p>\n
