Tributes are pouring in for the legendary designer Valentino, who died on Monday at the age of 93.<\/a><\/p>\n

Gwyneth Paltrow was one of the first celebrities to post about her friendship<\/a> with Valentino<\/p>\n

\u201cI was so lucky to know and love Valentino \u2014 to know the real man, in private,\u201d she wrote alongside a photo of her giving a kiss on the designer\u2019s cheek. \u201cThe man who was in love with beauty, his family, his muses, his friends. His dogs, his gardens, and a good Hollywood story. I loved him so much. I loved how he always pestered me to \u2018at least wear a little mascara\u2019 when I came to dinner. I loved his naughty laugh.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis feels like the end of an era,\u201d the \u201cShakespeare in Love\u201d star concluded. \u201cHe will be deeply missed by me and all who loved him. Rest in peace, Vava \ud83d\udc94.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cValentino Garavani passed away today at his Roman residence, surrounded by his loved ones,\u201d read a statement\u00a0released<\/a>\u00a0by his namesake foundation on Instagram Monday.<\/p>\n

He will lie in state for several days in Piazza Mignanelli, and the funeral will take place on Friday, Jan. 23, at the Basilica Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri.<\/p>\n
