Have you ever seen such a beautiful night? During her tour launch in London, a.k.a. her first concert since 2015, Hilary Duff performed \u201cWhat Dreams Are Made of\u201d for the first time ever.<\/p>\n
Held at O2 Shepherd\u2019s Bush Empire, Duff\u2019s 17-song set list contained gems from her catalog (\u201cWake Up,\u201d \u201cCome Clean\u201d), plus tracks off her upcoming album Luck \u2026or Something.<\/a> She closed with a triumphant \u201cWhat Dreams Are Made of,\u201d from 2003\u2019s The Lizzie McGuire Movie.<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/p>\n In a recent interview with Therapuss<\/a>, Duff told Jake Shane that she doesn\u2019t even remember recording the Disney song, since she was only 14 at the time. \u201cBut I will say, now I love it,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd when I was filming the movie, I loved it. It was just a weird time, and it wasn\u2019t technically my song. It was a Lizzie McGuire song.\u201d<\/p>\n She added, \u201cWhen I sing it now, I feel a lot of joy. I just think there was such a separation back then of me and my music and Lizzie McGuire. I didn\u2019t really get to perform that song live, because I didn\u2019t own it. But if I would ever tour again, I think maybe I would be allowed to manage to sing that song somehow\u2026.some way. Maybe, maybe. Hypothetically.\u201d<\/p>\n Duff will release Luck \u2026or Something, her first album in over a decade, on Feb. 20 via Atlantic. She co-produced it with her husband, musician Matthew Koma, and Brian Phillips. She\u2019s released two singles from the album so far: \u201cMature<\/a>\u201d and \u201cRoommates.<\/a>\u201d She\u2019ll continue her Small Rooms, Big Nerves Tour<\/a> in Toronto on Jan. 24, before heading to the States for more shows (including a Las Vegas residency<\/a>).<\/p>\n \u201cI am often asked how I still have my head on straight after growing up in this industry,\u201d Duff said, upon announcing Luck \u2026or Something. \u201cThe album title is my way of answering that question. It\u2019s luck, but there\u2019s also a lot of weight in the \u2018\u2026or something\u2019.
