NG Vascular & Vein Center is offering a new therapy for patients with chronic grade one to three internal hemorrhoids.<\/p>\n

The FDA-approved procedure, a hemorrhoidal artery embolization, doesn’t require cutting or stitches.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis procedure is a complete game-changer for patients suffering from chronic hemorrhoids,\u201d Dr. Nazar Golewale<\/a>, founder and interventional radiologist with NG Vascular, said in a press release. \u201cThere is no hospital stay, no general anesthesia, no cutting, and no painful recovery. Just a couple of hours at our center and then the patient can return home and resume normal activities the next day. There will be noticeable improvement within the next one-to-two weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n

The embolization is performed within a patient’s vascular system using a catheter to cut off the blood supply to the hemorrhoid.<\/p>\n

Golewale appeared on WGN’s \u201cDaytime Chicago\u201d<\/a> last fall in a sponsored segment to discuss the more than 6,000 interventional procedures he has performed.<\/p>\n
