\n President Donald Trump told reporters Tuesday that he has not spoken to French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer since his overnight Truth Social posts.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cNo, I haven\u2019t, but I think I get along very well with them,\u201d he told reporters at the White House, adding, \u201cThey get a little bit rough when they\u2019re, you know, when I\u2019m not around, but when I\u2019m around they treat me very nicely.\u201d\n <\/p>\n
\n The president posted about the leaders of the United Kingdom and France on social media overnight. He accused the UK of \u201cstupidity\u201d over its its plan to hand over ownership of the Chagos Islands<\/a>, including the US air base on Diego Garcia, to Mauritius.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cThe UK giving away extremely important land is an act of GREAT STUPIDITY,\u201d Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform, adding that it was \u201canother in a very long line of National Security reasons why Greenland has to be acquired.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n The president also posted a text message from Macron on his Truth Social page.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cMy friend, we are totally in line on Syria, we can do great things on Iran. I do not understand what you are doing on Greenland,\u201d Macron\u2019s message began, before going on to suggest he could host a meeting of G7 leaders in Paris on Thursday.\n <\/p>\n
