Simone Bolelli<\/a> and Andrea Vavassori<\/a> continued their career-best season on Sunday afternoon at the Mubadala Citi DC Open<\/a>, where they captured their fourth title of 2025.<\/p>\n The Italian top seeds defeated Hugo Nys<\/a> and Edouard Roger-Vasselin<\/a> 6-3, 6-4 in the championship match, adding a seventh trophy to their impressive partnership. The first Lexus ATP Head2Head clash between the two teams was suspended due to rain with Bolelli and Vavassori leading 2-0 in the second set, and they returned two hours later to finish the job.<\/p>\n \u201cThanks to my partner,\u201d said the 39-year-old. Bolelli. \u201cHe\u2019s an amazing player, we\u2019re friends, and he\u2019s adding years to my career\u2026 We\u2019ve really enjoyed this week in Washington, we\u2019ve played four matches with some great support. We try to do our best every week.\u201d<\/p>\n Vavassori added: \u201cThanks to Simone. We\u2019ve been together for two and a half years. It\u2019s great to have a friend to travel with, prepare the work and play the matches. It\u2019s amazing for me and we will keep going in Toronto next week.\u201d<\/p>\n Bolelli and Vavassori, who won 87 per cent (33\/38) of first-serve points, according to Infosys ATP Stats, joined Wimbledon<\/a> champions Julian Cash<\/a> and Lloyd Glasspool<\/a> as the only team to claim four titles this year.
