{"id":419543,"date":"2026-01-20T22:15:07","date_gmt":"2026-01-20T22:15:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/419543\/"},"modified":"2026-01-20T22:15:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-20T22:15:07","slug":"ethernovia-raises-90m-as-investors-rush-to-fund-physical-ai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/419543\/","title":{"rendered":"Ethernovia raises $90M as investors rush to fund &#8216;physical AI&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"speakable-summary\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Investors and companies alike are trying to leverage developmental gains in AI to make leaps in technologies like robotics and autonomous vehicles \u2014 what\u2019s being referred to now as \u201cphysical AI.\u201d That means some of the billions of dollars flowing to AI startups is starting to spill toward suppliers doing behind-the-scenes work to make these technologies real.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The latest case is Ethernovia, which on Tuesday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20260120549197\/en\/Ethernovia-Raises-Over-%2490-Million-Series-B-to-Scale-Leading-Edge-Autonomy-and-Physical-AI-Networking-Chips\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">announced<\/a> a $90 million Series B. The company, located in San Jose, makes Ethernet-based processors that help collect data from sensors scattered around a system \u2014 like in an autonomous vehicle \u2014 and quickly move it to a central computer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company was already backed by Porsche SE and Qualcomm Ventures, but this round was led by Maverick Silicon \u2014 an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2024-08-14\/early-nvidia-backer-maverick-is-launching-an-ai-focused-fund\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">AI-focused<\/a> fund created in 2024 by hedge fund Maverick Capital. It was the first sector-specific fund that Maverick Capital launched in its 30-year history.
