Jimmy Kimmel trashed President Donald Trump\u2019s \u201cb—hy little message\u201d to Norway\u2019s prime minister hours before the president is set to meet world leaders at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Trump sent a letter<\/a> to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr St\u00f8re reaffirming his desire to own Greenland. \u201cConsidering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur president sent a text to the leader of another country, which, by the way, is already a weird thing,\u201d Kimmel said in his monologue Tuesday. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe idea that he\u2019s typing out a b—hy little message to the Prime Minister of Norway, a message that explicitly says, \u2018Since you didn\u2019t give me the peace prize, I\u2019m thinking about taking Greenland away.\u2019 It\u2019s unheard of,\u201d said Kimmel. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s nothing to compare it to in the history of humankind,\u201d Kimmel said. \u201cThis man is crashing the plane because the stewardess didn\u2019t bring him a bag of peanuts.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel added, \u201cThis is what happens to children who get anything they want. This is how they grow up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Referencing the bratty character from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Kimmel joked that Trump was \u201cPresident Veruca Salt.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018I want Greenland. I want it now!\u2019 All because he didn\u2019t get a little medal around his neck,\u201d Kimmel said. \u201cHe\u2019s a child.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel referenced Trump\u2019s Truth Social frenzy<\/a> on Monday night that included posts about Greenland and other European leaders. \u201c[Trump\u2019s] parents let him stay up late last night, and he posted a lot of nonsense.\u201d<\/p>\n

He showed an edited image Trump posted during his Truth Social spree: of the president, Marco Rubio, and JD Vance colonizing Greenland. <\/p>\n

Kimmel joked, \u201cI like this because even in an AI-generated image, JD and Marco are like, \u2018Jesus Christ, what are we doing here?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel also mocked Trump for releasing screenshots<\/a> of text messages he received from other world leaders, including French president Emmanuelle Macron. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s so interesting to read these, because they really do tiptoe around this maniac,\u201d said Kimmel. <\/p>\n

Kimmel pointed out the line in Macron\u2019s text reading, \u201cI do not understand what you are doing on Greenland.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel replied, \u201cThat makes 8.1 billion of us, friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

The late-night host added, \u201cTrump screengrabbed that and posted it. Why, I don\u2019t know. Does he think this makes him look good? Every one of these texts reads like they\u2019re talking to a chimp with a hand grenade.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump left D.C. to fly to Switzerland on Tuesday night, though the plane reversed course<\/a> due to a \u201cminor electrical issue.\u201d <\/p>\n
