Josh Stein has declared a \u2018State of Emergency\u2019 ahead of the winter storm expected to hit the state over the weekend. On Thursday, Stein and officials from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, the North Carolina Department of Transportation, North Carolina Emergency Management, the State Highway Patrol, and the North Carolina National Guard will hold a media briefing with updates on storm preparations. The briefing is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. at the State Emergency Operations Center in Raleigh, and WXII will stream it live.”A winter storm is approaching, and now is the time to prepare,” said Governor Stein. “Please get ready. Get everything you need in advance of the storm and have a plan in case your power goes out.
