\n It\u2019s time to celebrate the best of the worst in movies.\n <\/p>\n
\n Two remakes top the list of the 46th Annual Golden Raspberry nominations, known as the Razzies, announced on Wednesday.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cWar of the Worlds,\u201d which like the 2005 film of the same name starring Tom Cruise is based on H. G. Wells\u2019s 1898 novel \u201cThe War of the Worlds,\u201d racked up 6 nominations.\n <\/p>\n
\n Ice Cube was nominated in the worst actor category for his performance as William Radford, a Department of Homeland Security officer who reckons with a potentially apocalyptic alien invasion.\n <\/p>\n
\n Disney\u2019s \u201cSnow White,\u201d a live-action remake of Disney\u2019s 1937 animated film \u201cSnow White and the Seven Dwarfs,\u201d also nabbed 6 nominations. A worst supporting actor nod went to \u201cAll Seven Artificial Dwarfs\u201d in the film.\n <\/p>\n
\n The awards take a tongue in cheek approach to cinema by handing out awards for those films that are, shall we say, viewed as less than stellar. As is tradition, the \u201cwinners\u201d are announced the day before the Academy Awards ceremony.\n <\/p>\n
\n This year\u2019s Academy Awards will air on March 15.\n <\/p>\n
