Where the Connecticut Sun will play in future years is still in question, but the team will return to Mohegan Sun for at least the 2026 season.

The Sun released their regular-season schedule Wednesday, a 44-game slate that spans from May to September with a game at TD Garden and a pair of contests at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford.

ESPN reported in December that the Houston Rockets’ ownership group was in serious talks to purchase and relocate the Connecticut Sun. That report came after a summer where Boston Celtics minority owner Steve Pagliuca confirmed he made an offer to buy the Sun and relocate the team to Boston. Former Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry matched that offer with a plan to move the team to Hartford.

The WNBA essentially blocked Pagliuca’s offer, stating that the WNBA Board of Governors decides on whether or not a team relocates, not the individual teams.

Connecticut’s 24th season will begin on the road, with the Sun playing at the Barclays Center against the New York Liberty on May 8 at 7:30 p.m. They will return to Uncasville two days later to open their home slate with a game against the Seattle Storm on May 10 at 1 p.m.

This season’s TD Garden game will take place Aug. 18 at 7 p.m., continuing a three-year stint in Boston. The Sun will host the Los Angeles Sparks in a game that has sold out each of the past two seasons.

Connecticut will also add two games in Hartford, playing the Sparks on May 30 at 6 p.m. and former UConn standout Paige Beckers and the Dallas Wings on July 2 at 8 p.m. in PeoplesBank Arena.
