Bret Michaels has been in the news this week<\/a>, and it has not exactly been positive thanks to his former bandmates in Poison.<\/p>\n

Specifically, the band\u2019s drummer, Rikki Rocket, threw him under the bus, claiming that a reunion has not been possible because Michaels wants too much money. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a great offer, I thought,\u201d Rocket told Page Six. \u201cIt didn\u2019t work.<\/p>\n

\u201cReally what it came to was (guitarist) C.C. (DeVille), (bassist) Bobby (Dall) and I were all in, and I thought Bret was, but he wanted the lion\u2019s share of the money, to the point where it makes it not possible to even do it. It\u2019s like $6 to every one of our dollars. You just can\u2019t work that way. <\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t do this just for the money. I do have a love for this, absolutely. But at the same time, you don\u2019t want to go out and work really hard just to make somebody else a bunch of money.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michaels, who lives in Mechanicsburg, responded, sort of, on social media on Wednesday.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cTo Green Day and Bad Bunny \u2014 congratulations on the Super Bowl concert,\u201d he wrote on Facebook. \u201cI cannot wait to watch it, and I cannot wait to announce a Bucket List NFL dream come true (stay tuned).<\/p>\n

\u201cTo my friend Rikki Rocket \u2014 have fun tonight with my good buddy Eddie Trunk and enjoy the Music Hall of Fame ceremony,\u201d he continued. \u201cAs always, I consider Poison to be Bobby, C.C., Rikkie and myself. I also make no bones about loving the BMB and will always have both in my life. <\/p>\n

\u201cBottom line \u2014 I love music, I love the fans and I\u2019m always forever grateful. Onward & upward and let\u2019s all focus on the positive in 2026, and the potential of a future reunion.\u201d<\/p>\n

So, Michaels didn\u2019t respond to the money claims or mention the reunion, but he did tag Rocket and give the band a tip of the cap.
