Days after Brooklyn Peltz Beckham<\/a> exposed the depth of his rift with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, in a blistering Instagram post<\/a>, the DJ who performed at his wedding has offered his account of the now-infamous dance that contributed to the feud.<\/p>\n

Nicola Peltz Beckham, Brooklyn\u2019s new wife, left the room \u201ccrying her eyes out,\u201d after Brooklyn danced with his mother, Victoria, before her at their April 2022 wedding, DJ Fat Tony told British TV show This Morning<\/a> on Friday.<\/p>\n

The British celebrity DJ, whose real name is Tony Marnach, said singer Marc Anthony<\/a> called up \u201cthe most beautiful woman in the room\u201d to join Brooklyn on the stage, a moment everyone present expected to precede the newlyweds\u2019 first dance.<\/p>\n

But rather than calling on the bride, Anthony went on to invite the mother of the groom, Victoria, to the stage.<\/p>\n

As for the dance itself, \u201cthere was no slutdropping, there was no black cat PVC catsuits, there was no Spice Girl action,\u201d Marnach said, dispelling some of the memes circulating on social media this week.<\/p>\n

Instead, Marnach said the \u201ctiming\u201d made the dance \u201cinappropriate.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBrooklyn went onto the stage, and the next minute everyone\u2019s expecting it to be Nicola to go up and do the first dance,\u201d said Marnach.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo Victoria is by the stage, she goes onto the stage, and of course at that point Brooklyn is literally devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his wife. Then Nicola leaves the room, crying her eyes out,\u201d Marnach said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBrooklyn is stuck there on stage, and they do this dance, and Marc Anthony says \u2018put your hands on your mother\u2019s hips\u2019 \u2026 and the whole situation was really awkward for everyone in the room.\u201d<\/p>\n

That incident \u2014 which Brooklyn described as his mother dancing \u201cvery inappropriately on me in front of everyone,\u201d leaving him \u201chumiliated\u201d \u2014 was one of several that the eldest Beckham child described in a long Instagram post Monday.<\/p>\n

In it, he accused his parents, who are among the most famous couples in the world, of trying to \u201cruin\u201d his marriage to Peltz, planting stories about him in the media and of prioritizing \u201cBrand Beckham\u201d over the family unit.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do not want to reconcile with my family,\u201d he wrote, confirming yearslong rumors of a rift. \u201cI\u2019m not being controlled, I\u2019m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

David and Victoria Beckham have not so far commented on their son\u2019s allegations. CNN has reached out to their representatives, as well as representatives for the Peltz Beckhams.<\/p>\n

Marnach added that he had performed at several Beckham parties, describing them as a \u201cclose-knit family\u201d who love to dance. \u201cIf (Brooklyn) felt it was inappropriate and awkward, it was inappropriate and awkward,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Brunch the next day was \u201cthe most awkward part of it all,\u201d Marnach recalled, because everyone was discussing the previous evening.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen the bride and the groom leave their own wedding devastated, word trickles out,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
