As the WTA Australian Open\u2019s third round continues today due to yesterday\u2019s overwhelming heat, some matches have been moved to the early morning. This provides another opportunity to post some of our best bets for the matches we have yet to cover. Please share your best bets in the comments section.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

WTA Australian Open
\nOsaka \u2013 Inglis: Time 02:00<\/p>\n

H2H: 0-0<\/p>\n

Naomi Osaka and Madison Inglis are the late match of the round. Anything later is in the round of 16. Osaka is 3-1 on the year, with her only loss coming to Maria Sakkari in the United Cup. Inglis is a perfect 6-0, but four of those wins came in Open qualifying. Both ladies have played all three sets in both of their last matches. Both of Inglis\u2019s last two opponents were in the top 80 of the World rankings, but Osaka would be her biggest win of the year. Osaka has also won this tournament twice, the last coming in 2021.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Best Bet to Make<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a reason that Osaka is an 8-1 favorite on some sites. The average is about 7-1 in favor of the former champion. Inglis will have the hometown crowd on her side, but it\u2019s not like the crowd hates Osaka. If Inglis is going to win this, she will need to play a complete game. I do think they\u2019re going to play a fair amount of games, so taking the over on 19 games is smart.<\/p>\n

That being said, Over 19 games\u00a0is a value bet for sure.<\/p>\n

Rybakina \u2013 Valentova: Time 00:00<\/p>\n

H2H: 1-0<\/p>\n

Elena Rybakina vs Tereza Valentova ought to be a thriller of a match. The last time they met was the second round of the 2025 US Open, and Rybakina won in straight sets, but she had to earn it. After a 6-3 first set, Rybakina and Valentova would play 13 games plus a seven-point tie-break in the second set.<\/p>\n

Best Bet to Make<\/p>\n

While Rybakina is about a 5-1 favorite, I still believe this match will be played similarly to their last match. I think Valentova has to have a lot of confidence from that second set of the US Open, and she should have a lot of tape to work with in preparation for this match. I think the smart move here is to take Rybakina in straight sets because I don\u2019t think it will push a third set, but it should be entertaining enough.<\/p>\n

That being said, Rybakina winning 2:0\u00a0is a value bet for sure.<\/p>\n

Kalinskaya\u00a0\u2013 Swiatek: Time 00:00<\/p>\n

H2H: 1-2<\/p>\n

Anna Kalinskaya vs Iga Swiatek is our featured match of the round. They\u2019ve met three times before, with Swiatek winning the last two, including a third-round US Open match in 2025. Swiatek is 5-2 in 2026, with losses to Belinda Bencic and Coco Gauff. Kalinskaya is 4-2, with losses to Victoria Mboko and Jessica Pegula. The matches between these two are always entertaining, and Swiatek is a two-time semifinalist, including last year.<\/p>\n

Best Bet to Make<\/p>\n

Iga Swiatek is going to win this, but the general pattern of scoring should hold. In every match they\u2019ve played, regardless of the victor, featured\u00a0at least 19 games played. I still think taking the under on 21.5 games gives you enough of a window while still allowing your bet to cover. This should be a competitive match, but Swiatek should still come out on top in two sets.<\/p>\n

That being said, Under 21.5 games is a value bet for sure<\/p>\n
