Many women around the world report adjusting their behavior specifically to avoid being targeted by dangerous strangers.<\/p>\n That can mean never walking alone at night, bringing a friend to certain activities, sharing locations, or generally staying hyperaware of everything happening around them. In fact, a U.K. study<\/a> found that 56% of girls and young women in the U.K. aged 11 to 21 feel unsafe traveling alone, with nearly one-third avoiding public transport altogether.<\/p>\n As situation after situation continues to show, that kind of caution is not paranoia. Women have shared stories of being harassed while doing their jobs, whether they are flight attendants<\/a>, servers<\/a>, or beverage cart attendants<\/a>, and more.<\/p>\n Recently, a TikTok creator captured one of those moments on video after heading to a golf driving range alone. She went to practice alone, set up her camera, and quickly realized someone behind her was paying far too much attention.<\/p>\n What Did The Stranger Do?<\/p>\n In the clip, Juju (@juju.dodoo) sets up her camera at a golf driving range in Colorado. In the video\u2019s text overlay, she wrote, \u201cReality of being a golf girlie alone on the driving range.\u201d<\/p>\n She explains the situation further in the overlay, writing, \u201cThis man \u2018stretched\u2019 behind me for at least 10 mins, watching me use a tripod. Then suddenly offered to \u2018help record me.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n As the video plays, a man can be heard approaching from behind. \u201cPardon me, would you like some help with that?\u201d he asks. \u201cI could video you right off the bat.\u201d<\/p>\n Juju responds politely and shuts it down. \u201cOh no, it\u2019s OK,\u201d she says. \u201cI\u2019m good. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou got it?\u201d he asks. \u201cRight on.\u201d<\/p>\n At that point, the interaction seems over. But as Juju continues practicing, the man appears again in the background of the frame. He stands behind her, staring without pause, looking confused and lingering between her shots.<\/p>\n \u201cNot sneaky,\u201d Juju writes in another overlay. \u201cDoes he not understand he\u2019s in my shot?\u201d<\/p>\n She then shares more footage of the man repeatedly watching her as she swings. The text overlay reads, \u201cDon\u2019t be him,\u201d making her message clear without needing further explanation.<\/p>\n In the caption, Juju adds more context about how she handled the situation. \u201cMoved as soon as a better mat opened up,\u201d she writes. \u201cMen really be men-ing out there and then wonder why they CaNt JuSt be NicE.\u201d<\/p>\n Commenters Are Disgusted<\/p>\n In the comments, many users reacted with memes instead of words.
