Former Alabama football player and Hoover High School football coach Josh Niblett is no stranger to the bright lights of coaching football.<\/p>\n
With success and championships at Hoover, and most recently Gainesville high school in Georgia, it\u2019s clear that Niblett knows how to connect with players and be successful. That was on full display was on hand during the Colorado Buffaloes first team meeting of 2026. <\/p>\n
After a state title game appearance with Gainesville this past season, Niblett stepped down<\/a>. Between stops at Hoover and Gainesville, Niblett collected 281 victories in his head coaching career. <\/p>\n After being hired by Colorado in early January as the tight ends coach<\/a> for the buffaloes, Niblett was center stage, firing up the team which can be seen here<\/a>. <\/p>\n \u201cI know why I\u2019m here. God sent me here. I know that,\u201d Niblett said. <\/p>\n \u201cBut I want you to understand something. When your life\u2019s all said and done, your career\u2019s all said and done, you\u2019re going to be known for one of three things when it\u2019s all said and done. You\u2019re either going to be known for success, survivor or significance.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSuccess is all about wins, championships and all that. All that\u2019s great, but it\u2019s all about you,\u201d Niblett said. \u201cIn survival, it talks about all the things you overcame in life, all the things whether it was an injury, whether you lost this person in your life and you know what? That\u2019s still about you.<\/p>\n \u201cBut significance is can I wake up every day, get out of myself and get into everybody else? You got me? Because better is the key. That needs to be our word in here. Better. We\u2019re not worried about just being the best. You got to get better every day.
