{"id":428563,"date":"2026-01-25T07:20:08","date_gmt":"2026-01-25T07:20:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/428563\/"},"modified":"2026-01-25T07:20:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-25T07:20:08","slug":"daytime-broadcast-ratings-for-the-week-of-december-15-19-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/428563\/","title":{"rendered":"Daytime Broadcast Ratings for the Week of December 15-19, 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Need To Know<\/p>\n<p>In a tie with \u201cThe Young and the Restless,\u201d \u201cThe Bold and the Beautiful\u201d ranked No. 1 among soaps in Women 18-49 for the tenth time in 13 weeks (including ties).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeyond the Gates\u201d ranked last in Women 18-49 and set a new low in the key demo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe View\u201d flourished in Women 18-49, ranking second for the week, ahead of the first half-hour of \u201cThe Price is Right\u201d and \u201cTODAY 3rd Hour.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the week of December 15-19, 2025, \u201cThe View\u201d on ABC set a new season high among Women 18-49 (0.28 rating), while ranking second overall, just ahead of the first half-hour of \u201cThe Price is Right\u201d and \u201cTODAY 3rd Hour,\u201d each tied for third with a 0.26 rating. Additionally, the talk show saw its best performance in the demo since the week of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soapoperanetwork.com\/2024\/11\/the-view-post-election-week-ratings\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.soapoperanetwork.com\/2024\/11\/the-view-post-election-week-ratings\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">November 4-8, 2024<\/a>, while gaining +98,000 viewers week-to-week and attracting its second-best performance of the season among Total Viewers (2.576 million) and Women 25-54 (0.39 rating). Compared to the same week last year, the program was up a whopping +263,000 viewers.<\/p>\n<p>Over at CBS, \u201cBeyond the Gates\u201d ranked last for the first time ever (excluding ties) among Women 18-49 actuals, while setting a new season and series low in the key sales demographic.  For the week, the daytime drama series attracted 1.569 million viewers, a 0.25 rating among Women 25-54 and a 0.12 rating among Women 18-49, down from last week\u2019s 0.13 rating. Though down -30,000 viewers from the prior week, the soap opera saw a year-over-year gain of +250,000 viewers compared to the performance of former time slot holder \u201cThe Talk,\u201d which had wrapped its 15th and final season during the same week in 2024. While flat week-to-week among Women 25-54, the soap opera topped time slot competitor \u201cGeneral Hospital\u201d (0.25 rating vs. 0.23 rating) and was up +0.02 over the year ago performance of \u201cThe Talk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTODAY 3rd Hour\u201d was up +180,000 viewers week-to-week and up +124,000 viewers year-over-year, marking its second-best performance of the season among Total Viewers (2.160 million), behind only the week of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soapoperanetwork.com\/2025\/12\/daytime-broadcast-ratings-for-the-week-of-november-24-28-2025\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">November 24-28, 2025<\/a>. The news program tied its season high among Women 25-54 (0.42 rating) and marked its fourth-best performance among Women 18-49 (0.26 rating), placing third in the latter demo in a tie with the first half-hour of \u201cThe Price is Right.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With 1.956 million viewers tuned in, \u201cGeneral Hospital\u201d was up +73,000 viewers week-to-week and attracted its second-largest audience of the season, with its best performance overall among Total Viewers since the week of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soapoperanetwork.com\/2025\/10\/daytime-broadcast-ratings-for-the-week-of-september-22-26-2025\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">September 22-26, 2025<\/a>. The long-running daytime drama series was up +0.03 week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.18 rating vs. 0.15 rating) and up +0.01 among Women 25-54 (0.23 rating vs. 0.22 rating).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Bold and the Beautiful\u201d and \u201cThe Young and the Restless\u201d tied for No. 1 among the four network soaps in Women 18-49 (0.20 rating), marking the tenth time in 13 weeks that the half-hour drama has ranked first in the demo (including ties). Compared with one week earlier, the sister soaps were up by +25,000 and +42,000 viewers, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Among Total Viewers, \u201cNBC News Daily\u201d was up week-to-week (+67,000) and saw the largest year-over-year gain across daytime broadcast, up +298,000.<\/p>\n<p>Wrap-Up<\/p>\n<p>What follows is a breakdown of how the daytime broadcast shows\u00a0performed during the week of December 15-19, 2025\u00a0among Women 18-49 rating, Women 25-54 rating, Households and Total Viewers, including week-to-week and year-over-year comparisons.<\/p>\n<p>Note*: Figures under the 2024 column for \u201cBeyond the Gates\u201d are compared to the performance of the former time slot occupant, \u201cThe Talk.\u201d \u201cTODAY with Jenna &amp; Friends\u201d is compared with the performance of its predecessor, \u201cTODAY with Hoda &amp; Jenna.\u201d \u201cGMA3\u201d is compared with its predecessor, \u201cGMA3: What You Need to Know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, 2024 comparisons, particularly Households and Total Viewers, were unavailable to this publication for most daytime broadcast shows, unless stated otherwise, until at least February 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Starting with the 2025-2026 television season, ratings are based on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soapoperanetwork.com\/2025\/10\/daytime-broadcast-ratings-for-the-week-of-september-22-26-2025\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Live+Same Day Big Data + Pane<\/a>l.
