\n\tAs the competition continues to heat up on Season 4 of \u201cThe Traitors<\/a>,\u201d Peacock<\/a> has released a statement urging passionate fans of the show to cool off.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe are committed to making our casts feel safe, respected, and supported \u2013 on screen and off,\u201d reads the statement,<\/a> which was posted to the \u201cTraitors\u201d Instagram account Saturday. \u201cThe cast of \u2018The Traitors\u2019 are real people, and what happens in the game should never lead to cyberbullying or harassment. There\u2019s a difference between discussing a show and targeting individuals.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cLet\u2019s not ruin the passion for this show with unwarranted negativity and personal attacks,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cWe appreciate your support!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe statement comes as online discourse around the season\u2019s cast \u2014 specifically \u201cBachelor\u201d alum Colton Underwood<\/a> \u2014 has reached a fever pitch. But this isn\u2019t the first time Peacock has had to remind viewers to be mindful of their words. The streamer released a similar statement last summer <\/a>on the \u201cLove Island USA\u201d X account, urging viewers to remember the \u201camazing group of Islanders\u201d are \u201creal people \u2013 so let\u2019s be kind and spread the love!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tOn \u201cThe Traitors,\u201d reality stars from a range of franchises are chosen to be Faithfuls or Traitors. To win, Faithfuls must successfully vote out the secret Traitors, whose goal is to claim the $250,000 prize for themselves. This season, Lisa Rinna<\/a> (\u201cReal Housewives of Beverly Hills\u201d alum), Rob Rausch (\u201cLove Island USA\u201d) and Candiace Dillard Bassett (\u201cReal Housewives of Potomac\u201d alum) are the three chosen Traitors.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tSo far, all of them are still in the competition, along with Faithfuls including Underwood, Dorinda Medley, Eric Nam, Johnny Weir, Kristen Kish, Mark Ballas, Maura Higgens, Natalie Anderson, Stephen Colletti, Tara Lipinski and Yam Yam Arocho.<\/p>\n
