In a conversation with Boston Business Journal after
\nthe J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference, Jeffrey Quillen, co-chair of
\nthe firm’s Life Sciences Industry Group, discussed the state of
\nthe biotech industry heading into 2026.<\/p>\n

Quillen noted an upturn in financings and M&A activity in
\nthe fourth quarter of 2025 and was optimistic that the momentum
\nwould continue into 2026: “Does this have legs? Is this likely
\nto carry into the year? I think it does,” he said. Quillen
\nalso said that challenging conditions for the industry over
\nprevious years weeded out weaker companies, resulting in emerging
\ncompanies of “really high quality.”<\/p>\n
