EastEnders<\/a> spoilers follow for Monday\u2019s episode (26 January), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn\u2019t yet aired on TV.<\/p>\n

EastEnders has revealed Mark Fowler\u2019s secret link to another character<\/a>, as he returns to Albert Square with a big secret. Last week, Phil Mitchell was preparing to take Nigel Bates to Portugal without Julie\u2019s permission \u2013 but his plan was scuppered by the arrival of his nephew Mark, who arrived on his doorstep battered and bruised<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In today\u2019s episode<\/a>, Mark woke up on Phil\u2019s sofa the next morning, reuniting with his half-sister Vicki and meeting Sam and Nigel for the first time.<\/p>\n

Vicki was keen to know how Mark had been injured, and he explained that he was randomly attacked by a group of men. He made out that he was back in Walford to support Vicki during Joel\u2019s upcoming trial<\/a>, but Phil and Sam didn\u2019t believe his story.<\/p>\n

They later confronted Mark, and he admitted to being involved in a drugs operation, adding that he was beaten up by the men he works with because they think he is a police informant.<\/p>\n

Mark pleaded with Phil to help clear his name, but Phil insisted that he wasn\u2019t involved in that world anymore \u2013 plus Sam told him that he was fleeing to Portugal with Nigel<\/a> that evening.<\/p>\n

Julie then arrived home unexpectedly early from Scotland, but Phil told Sam that he was still pressing on with his and Nigel\u2019s plans. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Mark made waves in the Square when he punched Ross for his involvement with Joel. But he panicked when he received a photo from his colleagues that proved they were watching him and Vicki could be in danger.<\/p>\n

As Phil refused to help again<\/a>, Mark realised that his uncle was lying to Julie, so he took matters into his own hands and told Julie that about Phil\u2019s Portugal scheme.<\/p>\n

Julie confronted Phil about taking Nigel away, devastated that he had been working behind her back. They clashed again, and Julie decided that she and Nigel would move out, booking a room in Peacock Palace until they find somewhere permanent.<\/p>\n

That evening, Mark desperately reached out to Phil once more and Phil reluctantly agreed to help. Mark explained that he had been adding false intel into different jobs to see what gets back to the police, and he had tracked the leaks to this area of London.<\/p>\n

As they suspected the informant could be in Walford, viewers already know that it\u2019s Ravi who is working with the police. With Mark saying that the informant is a \u201cdead man\u201d if he gets caught, is Ravi in serious danger?<\/p>\n

EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.<\/p>\n
