An actor best known for his role in an Oscar-nominated movie has been hospitalized after a fall, according to multiple reports.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Blind Side\u201d star Quinton Aaron, 41, collapsed while walking up the stairs at his apartment in Atlanta last week, according to TMZ<\/a>. A GoFundMe page<\/a> said he was on \u201clife support due to a severe blood infection,\u201d though his manager Katrina Fristoe said he is now stable and communicating with family.<\/p>\n

Additional details about Aaron\u2019s health were not disclosed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe family deeply appreciates the outpouring of support from fans and the media but respectfully requests privacy during this time,\u201d Fristoe said in a statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Aaron is best known for playing Michael Oher in the 2009 movie about a woman whose family takes in a homeless boy that later finds success in football and becomes an NFL star. The film was nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards and Sandra Bullock won an Oscar for her performance as Leigh Anne Tuohy.<\/p>\n

Aaron\u2019s credits include more than 60 other movies and TV shows, including \u201cLaw & Order,\u201d \u201cOne Tree Hill,\u201d \u201cMothers and Daughters,\u201d \u201cHalfway,\u201d and Nicolas Cage\u2019s \u201cLeft Behind.\u201d The New York Post<\/a> reports he recently lost 200 pounds after several health issues, including a hospitalization in March when he developed a fever and coughed up blood due to complications from the flu and pneumonia.<\/p>\n
