Matthew Stafford returned to girl dad mode as soon as he could after falling short in the NFC Championship game on Sunday, Jan. 25.\n<\/p>\n
The Los Angeles Rams quarterback, 37, tucked in his four daughters<\/a> after the game at 2:30 a.m., his wife, Kelly Stafford<\/a>, shared in two Instagram Stories posts on Monday, Jan. 26. Both slides featured Nest videos that showed Matthew tucking in their children in the hours after the loss.\n<\/p>\n \u201cAfter leaving everything out on that field and coming up short, at 2:30 a.m., this was Matthew,\u201d Kelly captioned the first clip.\n<\/p>\n Matthew also got a box of doughnuts for them to wake up to, Kelly revealed in the next slide. “Donuts for the most supportive and resilient little girls,\u201d she wrote.\n<\/p>\n Matthew Stafford tucking his daughters in.<\/p>\n Kelly Stafford\/Instagram<\/p>\n \u201cThank you for being such rockstars for me all season long! Y\u2019all were the inspiration for daddy\u2019s incredible year! We [heart] you!!\u201d was written on the box of treats.\n<\/p>\n Matthew and Kelly, 36, are parents to<\/a> twins Sawyer and Chandler, 8, Hunter, 7, and Tyler, 5. The couple met at the University of Georgia and married in 2015.\n<\/p>\n The Rams lost to the Seattle Seahawks<\/a> 31-27 in Seattle on Sunday. Matthew completed 22 of 35 passes for 374 yards, with three touchdowns and no interceptions. The performance came at the end of the best season of his career, in which he had 46 passing touchdowns and 4,707 passing yards. He remains under contract with the Rams in 2026.\n<\/p>\n \u201cI can’t generalize six months of my life 10 minutes after a loss,\u201d Stafford told reporters after the game, per ESPN<\/a>. \u201cSo I appreciate the guys in this locker room a whole hell of a lot. Everybody that helped me and helped our team be the success that we were this year. When the playoffs began, Kelly marked the end of her husband\u2019s 17th season in the NFL by sharing a gallery of their family at games.\n<\/p>\n \u201cWhat a season to witness in person,\u201d Kelly wrote on Instagram<\/a>. \u201cThe passion for football it instilled in my daughters (now all of the them want to play QB on a girls flag football team) is so fun to see, but also for them to start to understand how hard work and dedication pays off. We all needed that lesson. Watching their dad fail, realizing it\u2019s ok, and it\u2019s how you respond to that failure that makes up who you are.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n \u201cIncredibly blessed to witness the man I love, with the girls I love, do the thing he loves most \u2764\ufe0f,\u201d Kelly added.\n<\/p>\n Matthew started his career with the Detroit Lions in 2009 and joined the Rams in 2020.
