No. 25 Learner Tien, 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-1, 7-6 (3)<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">Carlos Alcaraz wasted little time in his three-set triumph over Alex De Minaur.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">The Australian gave Alcaraz a bit of a fight in the opening set, but then the top seed cruised, as he lost just three games in the second and third sets. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">The win gave Alcaraz his first semifinal berth at the Australian Open. He&#8217;s two wins away from securing the career Grand Slam at the age of 22. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">Alcaraz will be favored against No. 3 seed Alexander Zverev in the semifinals. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">Zverev, now a four-time semifinalist in Australia, needed four sets to eliminate American Learner Tien.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">Zverev is a three-time Grand Slam finalist in his own right. He plays best on the hard courts, but it&#8217;ll be difficult to slow Alcaraz down in the form that he is in.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz def.
