Motherwell forward Tawanda Maswanhise<\/a> insists he is only focussed on his form amid rising transfer speculation.<\/p>\n The Premiership’s top scorer has been touted with a move to the Scottish champions this month after Martin O\u2019Neill<\/a> was among those who watched<\/a> the 23-year-old impress again at Fir Park earlier this month. Boss Jens Berthel Askou<\/a> has played down the speculation and previously insisted that the summer sale of Lennon Miller means they\u2019re under no pressure to sell this month.<\/a><\/p>\n The Steelmen are looking to hold onto the Zimbabwe international until at least the end of this season. But the Hoops, Rangers and a host of Championship clubs are said to be weighing up a move to test Motherwell’s resolve this month.<\/p>\n But the man at the centre of the the saga is only concentrating on the Lanarkshire side. He told Zimbabwean out The Chronicle<\/a>: \u201cI am obvi\u00adously happy with my form. I hope to con\u00adtinue on this path, scor\u00ading and assist\u00ading goals.\u201d<\/p>\n Maswanhise was voted one of the most promising players at the African Cup of Nations. Zim\u00adb\u00adabwe coach Marian Mar\u00adin\u00adica has revealed he held talks with the player in Scotland as part of a scouting mission.<\/p>\n He said: \u201cI am happy with how Maswan\u00adhise is play\u00ading. He is always a fant\u00adastic player with a lot of focus. I am hav\u00ading a seven-day trip in Europe where I have to meet as many play\u00aders as pos\u00adsible. I decided to start in Scot\u00adland where I met with Tawanda Maswanhise and we had a fruit\u00adful dis\u00adcus\u00adsion.”<\/p>\n Askou surprisingly hooked Motherwell’s star man during last weekend’s 4-0 rout of Kilmarnock – after Maswanhise netted his 16th league goal of the season.<\/p>\n (Image: SNS Group)<\/p>\n But the boss insisted the attacker was “easily” tuning out the transfer noise: “It\u2019s very easy to focus on what we need to do here, and that is to make sure we are successful.<\/p>\n “That we improve, and he improves. That we keep setting him up in front of the goal because he is very effective. He is doing really well. It was like telling your son, it\u2019s time to go to bed now. He wanted to play for another half an hour. It was clear, and I get that.
