The\u00a0Golden State Warriors<\/a>\u00a0have had over 600 players don the more than 60 jersey numbers used by their players over the more than 75 years of existence the team has enjoyed in its rich and storied history.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1946 during the Basketball Association of America (BAA \u2013 a precursor league of the NBA) era, the team has called home the cities of Philadelphia, San Francisco, Oakland, and even San Diego.<\/p>\n

To commemorate the players who wore those numbers,\u00a0Warriors<\/a>\u00a0Wire is covering the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team. For this article, we begin with the fifth of six players who wore the No. 41 jersey for the\u00a0Warriors<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That player would be Golden State big man alum Tod Murphy. After ending his college career at UC Irvine, Murphy was picked up with the 53rd overall selection of the 1986 NBA Draft by the Seattle SuperSonics, but was cut and played overseas before getting hurt.<\/p>\n

The Long Beach, California native played the first seasons of his NBA career with the Los Angeles Clippers<\/a>, and also played in other leagues, for the Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a>, and Detroit Pistons<\/a> before he signed with the Dubs for the final stop of his career in the league.<\/p>\n

During his time suiting up for the Warriors, Murphy wore only jersey No. 41 and put up 0.5 rebounds per game.<\/p>\n
