\n\tForget meeting her at the \u201cAPT,\u201d it\u2019s time to meet Ros\u00e9<\/a> on the Grammy stage.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Australian-Korean singer-songwriter \u2014 a member of supergroup Blackpink<\/a> \u2014 is set to making K-pop history at Sunday\u2019s 2026 Grammy Awards<\/a>, becoming the first soloist to perform at the awards ceremony. <\/p>\n

\n\tRos\u00e9, a first-time nominee, is up for three awards, including nominations in the general field categories, a first for a K-pop idol. She and her collaborator Bruno Mars nabbed nominations in record and song of the year, along with a nod in the best pop duo\/group performance category for their smash hit \u201cAPT.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m getting chills right now,\u201d Ros\u00e9 said earlier this year when asked about the potential to make history at the Grammys during her Hollywood Reporter cover interview<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think it\u2019ll be a moment that proves to myself so many things that I grew up doubting,\u201d she continued. \u201cI think if this happens, then it\u2019s going to mean more to so many more people than myself. It\u2019ll just prove a lot in me as well. It\u2019ll just be a moment of celebration for everyone who believes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRos\u00e9 also earned herself an MTV VMA Award last year. The 28-year-old took home the song of the year trophy for \u201cAPT,\u201d which spent 45 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. Her debut album Rosie, which \u201cAPT\u201d served as the first single on, was released in December 2024 and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe singer\u2019s nomination and prescence at the show, along with the handful of nominations KPop Demon Hunters received<\/a>, marks a huge milestone for K-pop in the U.S. overall, an indicator of the genre\u2019s mainstream status. Supergroup BTS first opened the doors for K-pop at the Grammy Awards in 2021 with their nomination in the pop duo\/group performance category for their single \u201cDynamite.\u201d Girl group KATSEYE, a global girl group formed through K-pop training methods by Korean label Hybe and Geffen Records, also scored two nominations, including for best new artist.
