And the $500 is like for paperwork or whatever,\u201d Rogan, 58, explained. \u201cI said no.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rogan during another episode of \u201cThe Joe Rogan Experience.\u201d The Joe Rogan Experience<\/p>\n<p>Rogan said he refused to pay a $500 fee to be eligible for the Golden Globes. YouTube \/ PowerfulJRE<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t want to be a part of that,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Despite <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/digital\/news\/spotify-wrapped-top-50-podcasts-2025-joe-rogan-theo-von-mel-robbins-1236597755\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">having one of the top podcasts<\/a> on Spotify, Apple and\u00a0YouTube in 2025, \u201cThe Joe Rogan Experience\u201d wasn\u2019t one of the six nominees <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/10\/03\/entertainment\/golden-globes-new-podcast-category-has-industry-insiders-fuming-its-all-a-racket\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">up for the first-ever best podcast award<\/a> at this year\u2019s Golden Globes.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, the nominees consisted of Amy Poehler\u2019s \u201cGood Hang,\u201d Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes\u2019 \u201cSmartLess,\u201d Dax Shepard\u2019s \u201cArmchair Expert,\u201d Alex Cooper\u2019s \u201cCall Her Daddy,\u201d \u201cThe Mel Robbins Podcast,\u201d and NPR\u2019s \u201cUp First.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Joe Rogan during a UFC event in Austin, Texas, on June 18, 2022. Zuffa LLC<\/p>\n<p>Poehler, 54, ultimately <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/01\/11\/entertainment\/golden-globes-2026-live-updates\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">took home the inaugural award<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m sure it\u2019s good. It won. I\u2019m sure someone must love it,\u201d Rogan said of \u201cGood Hang\u201d bringing home the Golden Globe for best podcast. \u201cIf it sucked, they would give it to someone else, right?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just know that Amy Poehler won and a lot of people are upset,\u201d he continued. \u201c\u2018She\u2019s had a podcast for six months and she won. CBS<\/p>\n<p>The UFC color commentator went on to repeat that he chose not to pay the $500 entry fee \u2013 before trashing the idea of the best podcast award category altogether.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just know that I didn\u2019t submit,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t want to be a part of that. I don\u2019t care. You\u2019re just a group of people that just decide, all of a sudden, that you\u2019re going to give an award out? \u2018I get a trophy\u2019?
