\n\tAmazon Prime Video<\/a>\u2018s live-action \u201cGod of War<\/a>\u201d series has cast three key supporting roles. <\/p>\n

\n\tVariety has learned that Alastair Duncan has been cast as Mimir, while Danny Woodburn<\/a> and Jeff Gulka have been cast as brothers Brok and Sindri respectively. The role marks a return to \u201cGod of War\u201d for Duncan, as he previously voiced Mimir in both the 2018 game \u201cGod of War\u201d and the sequel \u201cGod of War Ragnarok.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tThey will appear alongside previously announced cast members Ryan Hurst as Kratos<\/a>, Max Parker as Heimdall<\/a>, \u00d3lafur Darri \u00d3lafsson as Thor<\/a> and Mandy Patinkin as Odin<\/a>. Duncan and Hurst are both alums of the \u201cGod of War\u201d games, though Hurst voiced Thor rather than Kratos. <\/p>\n

\n\tFull character descriptions for the new additions can be found below. <\/p>\n

\n\tAs previously reported, the series will pick up with the story of the two most recent \u201cGod of War\u201d games, in which Kratos must raise his ten-year old son Atreus while battling god of the Norse pantheon. Per the logline, \u201cFather and son Kratos and Atreus embark on a journey to spread the ashes of their wife and mother, Faye. Through their adventures, Kratos tries to teach his son to be a better god, while Atreus tries to teach his father how to be a better human.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cGod of War\u201d has received a two-season order at Amazon, with pre-production now underway in Vancouver. Ronald D. Moore is the writer, executive producer, and showrunner on \u201cGod of War\u201d under his Tall Ship Productions banner.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to his work in the \u201cGod of War\u201d games, Duncan also lent his voice to the \u201cLord of the Rings\u201d games \u201cShadow of Mordor\u201d and \u201cShadow of War\u201d in the role of Celebrimbor. He famously voiced Alfred Pennyworth in the animated series \u201cThe Batman\u201d and in several subsequent animated movies and games. His other onscreen credits include \u201cTaggart,\u201d \u201cSplit Second,\u201d \u201cDead Man\u2019s Walk,\u201d \u201cThe Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,\u201d and many more. <\/p>\n

\n\tWoodburn is perhaps best known for his time playing Mickey Abbott in the seminal sitcom \u201cSeinfeld.\u201d His recent credits include shows like \u201cThe Witcher,\u201d \u201cBillions,\u201d \u201cWillow,\u201d and \u201cBookie.\u201d He has also been in films including \u201cJingle All the Way,\u201d \u201cDeath to Smoochy,\u201d and \u201cWatchmen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGulka previously appeared as Gibson Praise on \u201cThe X-Files\u201d and as Charlie in \u201cStargate-SG1.\u201d Recent credits include \u201cLaid,\u201d \u201cVan Helsing,\u201d \u201cThe Magicians,\u201d and \u201cThe Irrational.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tDuncan is repped by Mitchell K. Stubbs & Associates. Gulka is repped by Universal Artists Management. Woodburn is repped by The Priluck Company and International Artists Management.<\/p>\n

\n\tFrederick E.O. Toye will direct the first two episodes of \u201cGod of War.\u201d Maril Davis of Tall Ship also executive produces alongside Cory Barlog, Naren Shankar, Matthew Graham, Asad Qizilbash, Jeff Ketcham, Hermen Hulst, Roy Lee, and Brad Van Arragon. Joe Menosky, Marc Bernardin, Tania Lotia, and Ben McGinnis serve as co-executive producers on the series. The series is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios in association with PlayStation Productions and Tall Ship Productions. Tall Ship is under an overall deal at Sony TV.<\/p>\n

\n\tCharacter Descriptions:<\/p>\n

\n\tMimir\u2013 Mimir is a cheery fellow from Celtic lands with an expansive intellect, a quick wit and a good head on his shoulders. Never at a loss for words, Mimir is the self-described \u201cSmartest Man in the World\u201d. He served as an advisor to Odin the All-Father, who ultimately banished Mimir to confinement in the trunk of a tree, forever cut off from the people he loves and anything that could nourish his mind. In the wake of his banishment, Mimir seeks atonement for the terrible deeds he committed in the All-Father\u2019s name.<\/p>\n

\n\tBrok\u2013 Brok is a legendary dwarven blacksmith who was alienated from his community when he helped build a super-weapon. He is brash, irreverent, and gruff \u2013 the complete opposite of his uptight brother and fellow blacksmith, Sindri, with whom he has a contentious relationship. Gamers will know Brok as the beloved weapons dealer with an unrivaled artistry for creative, foul-mouthed curses.<\/p>\n

\n\tSindri\u2013Sindri is a renowned dwarven blacksmith whose incredible weaponry is sought after across the realms.
