Ruben Amorim and Manchester United believe that one of Marcus Rashford\u2019s Barcelona teammates has the \u2018ideal profile\u2019 for the manager, according to stunning reports.<\/p>\n

Marcus Rashford signed for Barcelona this summer<\/a> after the England international was frozen out of the Manchester United first-team squad<\/a> under Ruben Amorim<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old United<\/a> star was unveiled as a Barcelona player at the Camp Nou last week, with the La Liga club landing Rashford<\/a> as part of a 12-month loan deal.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Barcelona had been linked with Rashford<\/a> and the Spanish side stepped up their transfer pursuit after Nico Williams inked a new long-term deal with Athletic Club.<\/p>\n

The La Liga outfit is covering the majority of Rashford\u2019s United wages<\/a> and the United star took a pay cut to ensure his move to the Camp Nou happened.<\/p>\n

Barcelona have the option to make the move permanent for a \u00a330.3m fee in 2026 and Rashford already made his Barcelona debut<\/a> against Vissel Kobe on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Marcus Rashford now shares the same Barcelona dressing room as Marc Casado and the 21-year-old Spanish defensive midfielder is linked with Manchester United again.<\/p>\n

Nacional<\/a> now reports that Marc Casado has been viewed as an \u2018ideal long-term alternative\u2019 for Manuel Ugarte<\/a>, whose future remains unclear under Ruben Amorim<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Spanish newspaper claims that the 40-year-old United manager<\/a> now sees Barcelona midfielder Casado as an \u2018ideal profile for his style of play\u2019 at Old Trafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is believed that United are \u2018evaluating\u2018 the prospect of \u2018presenting a formal offer in August,\u2019 despite Barcelona\u2019s current position being that they would \u2018prefer to retain\u2019 the player.<\/p>\n

According to Nacional, Barcelona\u2019s \u2018position is firm\u2019 over United-linked Casado<\/a> and the La Liga club have \u2018not contemplated\u2019 a sale of the Spain star in the \u2018short term.\u2019<\/p>\n

Marc Casado\u2019s transfer position amid Man Utd\u2019s interest and Barcelona\u2019s price value for the Spain international<\/p>\n

The outlet added that Marc Casado has \u2018no intention of leaving\u2019 on his own accord and wants to fight for his place in the Barcelona squad under manager Hansi Flick.<\/p>\n

Casado rose through the ranks of Barcelona\u2019s famed La Masia academy and the Spain midfielder is currently under contract at the Camp Nou until 2028.<\/p>\n

It is believed that the Spain international has a hefty \u20ac100m release clause in his deal with Barcelona, but United hope to sign Casado for a lower transfer fee.<\/p>\n

It is believed that the Red Devils would put up a \u00a334.8m (\u20ac40m) bid and United hope to \u2018squeeze\u2019 the signing amid Barcelona\u2019s firm stance on the player.<\/p>\n
