(Ivan Morozov)<\/p>\n<p>1) All of the assistants have been hired now. Surprised we were under budget? \u2014 st_andrew<\/p>\n<p>Chris Coleman: I don\u2019t know the final total at this point. On Thursday, I saw a random coach <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/1coachshep\/status\/2016968788105634263?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">introduce himself on Twitter<\/a> as Virginia Tech\u2019s new assistant special teams coach. I hadn\u2019t heard of him, and I didn\u2019t know Tech was hiring him. I\u2019ve already somewhat forgotten his name (it\u2019s Pat Shepard), because with all of the new players and the eleventy billion coaches on the staff, I just can\u2019t keep track of everyone.<\/p>\n<p>My point here is that I don\u2019t know that the Hokies are done with hiring assistants to the top assistants, and those guys\u2019 salaries count towards the pool as well. I don\u2019t know how much they\u2019ll all be making. I agree with you that Tech will come in under budget, though.<\/p>\n<p>That doesn\u2019t really surprise me. Not knowing the allotted budgets of other programs, I\u2019m guessing many of them come in somewhat under budget. That leaves some wiggle room.
