The $300 billion OpenAI deal may look impressive, he added, but \u201cwhen you look closer, it\u2019s built on backlog with no guaranteed revenue and massive capex requirements.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gogia argued that enterprises need to fundamentally rethink how they view Oracle cloud contracts. \u201cCIOs need to treat Oracle\u2019s cloud buildout not as a service agreement, but as a shared infrastructure risk,\u201d he said. \u201cIf they can\u2019t fund it, they can\u2019t build it. And if they can\u2019t build it, you can\u2019t run your workloads.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Franco Chiam, VP for cloud and data-center research at IDC Asia\/Pacific, takes a more measured view.
