href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/01\/26\/us-news\/famous-big-bear-valley-bald-eagles-welcome-first-egg-of-26\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">laying their first egg of the year<\/a>, leaving away from their nest in Big Bear when the raven swooped in and pecked at one of the eggs as viewers of the lovebirds\u2019 popular livestream watched in horror.<\/p>\n<p>The pair had welcomed their first egg of the new year last week and laid another on Monday.<\/p>\n<p> Friends of Big Bear Valley and Big Bear Eagle Nest Cam<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth eggs are believed to have been breached by the raven,\u201d Friends of Big Bear Valley, the nonprofit that operates the Big Bear eagle nest cam, told <a href=\"https:\/\/ktla.com\/news\/local-news\/big-bear-eagles-nest-attacked-by-invading-bird-at-least-1-egg-damaged\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">KTLA<\/a> in a nest. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/11\/21\/us-news\/bald-eagle-drops-cat-onto-moving-car-in-nc-guts-all-over\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Bald eagles<\/a> tend
