The sci-fi horror, based on a video game, is set in the post-apocalyptic future after an event dubbed \u201cThe Quiet Rapture,\u201d causes sudden darkness. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis deeply flawed attempt still stands as a testament to what happens when actual gamers make video game movies,\u201d IndieWire said<\/a> of the film, directed by video game developer David Szymanski.<\/p>\n

The horror comedy stars Rachel McAdams as a corporate strategist and Dylan O\u2019Brien as her new boss who find themselves stranded on an tropical island after a plane crash.<\/p>\n

\u201cMelania,\u201d the documentary on the first lady, which chronicles the 20 days prior to President Trump\u2019s second inauguration in 2025, took third, with sales of $2.9 million.<\/p>\n
