She\u2019s gained a reputation for helping women realize their fertility dreams. <\/p>\n
She\u2019s rabidly recommended in group chats, fertility forums, and on social media for being a savior for women who had nearly given up the hope of bearing children.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cPatients tend to see me when other doctors have told them, \u2018There\u2019s nothing else I can do for you,\u2019\u201d Eyvazzadeh said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Her services are expensive \u2014 an IVF cycle costs $35,000 on average \u2014 and she doesn\u2019t take insurance. (The average price of an IVF cycle nationwide is around $20,000.) She regularly works with reality stars, professional athletes, and tech bigwigs.<\/p>\n
Her services are particularly alluring in the Bay Area, which is home to the oldest first-time mothers in the country<\/a>, thanks to a combination of factors that include lofty career ambitions, companies that foot the bill for egg freezing<\/a>, and a sky-high cost of living<\/a> that incentivizes waiting to have kids. Eyvazzadeh\u2019s clients are, on average, 41 years old.\u00a0<\/p>\n In a region where untold resources are being harnessed to <\/a>stave off basic biological realities<\/a> like death, it\u2019s little surprise that there are also people zealously looking to create life.\u00a0<\/p>\n It helps that Eyvazzadeh looks and acts the part of the baby-making wellness guru. She lifts weights, dances at EDM raves and music festivals, and balances a seemingly around-the-clock work schedule with four kids of her own.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know how she does it, really,\u201d Aguilar said.\u00a0\u201dLike, does she sleep?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Aguilar, now in her mid-40s, credits Eyvazzadeh for her toddler son: \u201cIt\u2019s not a job for her. It\u2019s a calling.\u201d<\/p>\n Giving people hope, without being a \u2018hope dealer\u2019<\/p>\n A plush uterus, thank-you cards, and dozens of eggs \u2014 glass, wood, and even Faberge \u2014 decorate Eyvazzadeh\u2019s office at her San Ramon clinic. They\u2019re all gifts from patients. \u201cEvery piece is a success story,\u201d she said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n The desk itself holds special meaning: It\u2019s the same one her father used during his career as an OB-GYN. Her grandfather delivered babies too, and Eyvazzadeh knew she wanted to go into the family business when she was just 3.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI was born intense, full-throttle, 100%,\u201d she said. \u201cI would say that I\u2019m one level above obsessed.\u201d<\/p>\n After watching her mother struggle with miscarriages, Eyvazzadeh decided to specialize in reproductive endocrinology, graduating from UCLA (opens in new tab)<\/a> with a residency at Harvard Medical School and earning a Master\u2019s in Public Health from the University of Michigan. She first gained national media attention (opens in new tab)<\/a> in the early 2010s, when she started throwing \u201cegg freezing parties\u201d to educate women about fertility screening and the freezing process over cocktails and canapes. Around the same time, she helped a 48-year-old get pregnant, and the patient gifted (opens in new tab)<\/a> her the Eggwhisperer.com (opens in new tab)<\/a> website domain \u2014 and, thus, an enduring nickname.<\/p>\n In the years since, Eyvazzadeh has gained a following thanks to a bedside manner and approach that patients say is unlike anything they\u2019ve experienced with a doctor. \u201cYou feel like you\u2019re her only patient,\u201d as one put it.<\/p>\n For publicist Madison Ginnett, working with Eyvazzadeh to freeze her eggs contrasted dramatically with a demoralizing experience she had at a large fertility center in San Francisco.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cFrom the beginning, it was very impersonal: You were just a number,\u201d she said. When she received the news that her expensive retrieval had resulted in very few eggs, she wondered why her provider hadn\u2019t made recommendations on how to improve her outcome.\u00a0<\/p>\n Her experience with Eyvazzadeh felt like a 180. \u201cEvery body is different, and she\u2019s trying to figure out what is going to work for you,\u201d Ginnett said. \u201cShe is in your corner and makes you feel so comfortable and seen.\u201d<\/p>\n Ginnett mixes her medications. | Source: Courtesy Madison Ginnett<\/p>\n To help patients prepare for egg retrieval, Eyvazzadeh may suggest a broad range of supplements, treatments, or interventions, like NAD+ (opens in new tab)<\/a>, PRP, GLP-1s, (opens in new tab)<\/a> and red-light (opens in new tab)<\/a> or hyperbaric oxygen therapy (opens in new tab)<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m an early on-boarder,\u201d she said. \u201cI pay attention to research articles.\u201d<\/p>\n She also her patients\u2019 biggest cheerleader and preaches the power of visualization and optimism, suggesting exercises like kissing one\u2019s fingertips, then placing them on the lower abdomen, over the ovaries.\u00a0<\/p>\n While Eyvazzadeh prides herself on such treatments, other experts warn that patients should be wary of fertility interventions that lack significant evidence of their efficacy.<\/p>\n Stanford law professor Hank Greely (opens in new tab)<\/a>, who specializes in reproductive technologies, said he\u2019s skeptical about clinics that recommend alternative medicine methods that aren\u2019t backed by widespread, long-term studies. \u201cUsing unproven techniques in a medical field where there are desperate people is a red flag,\u201d he said. The \u201cworld of conventional medicine\u201d doesn\u2019t think highly of interventions like PRP and NAD+, he added, because there\u2019s not enough research behind them. \u201cThere can be physical, emotional, and financial costs.\u201d<\/p>\n But Eyvazzadeh\u2019s embrace of these practices is exactly why her patients trust her. Kristen Cropper, a former patient who works in the wine industry, credits Eyvazzadeh\u2019s suggestions \u2014\u00a0like doing two rounds of PRP therapy \u2014\u00a0for thickening her uterine lining and helped her get pregnant. \u201cShe is by your side the entire way, but she won\u2019t sugarcoat things,\u201d Cropper said. She has two young boys and no regrets about the procedure.<\/p>\n \u201cI practice being positive and practical at the same time,\u201d Eyvazzadeh said. \u201cI\u2019m not a hope dealer.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n In the past decade, the conversation around fertility treatments has changed dramatically, with egg freezing and IVF becoming standard aspects of family planning.<\/a> Still, the procedures remain expensive \u2014\u00a0one egg-freezing cycle in the U.S. costs $11,000 (opens in new tab)<\/a> on average, and IVF can be double that (opens in new tab)<\/a> \u2014\u00a0and techniques for increasing egg counts are understudied.\u00a0<\/p>\n More companies now offer fertility benefits (and a new state law requires them for large-group insurance plans (opens in new tab)<\/a>), but Eyvazzadeh\u2019s office doesn\u2019t work with insurance providers, raising the costs for patients who can afford her services.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been concierge since the very beginning, and if I were to take insurance, I wouldn\u2019t be able to see the number of patients that I see,\u201d she said, adding that she treats about 30 people daily, in person and virtually. <\/p>\n Knowing that cost will be prohibitive for many, she has a YouTube channel where she discusses techniques and protocols. For those who do become patients, she takes a high-touch approach. \u201cI don\u2019t care if you\u2019re a billionaire or if you work at the grocery store \u2014 everyone\u2019s VIP,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cYou feel like you\u2019re her only patient.\u201d<\/p>\n Tech industry employee Anne \u017divojnovi\u0107 started working with Eyvazzadeh because after having several miscarriages, she felt she was getting passed around between specialists and having to fight to get follow-up testing. It seemed no one was willing to take a holistic view of her situation, she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n In contrast, Eyvazzadeh took the time to \u201cfigure out the puzzle pieces.\u201d \u017divojnovi\u0107 had her first child after working with the doctor and enlisted her services again for the second, despite having gained insurance benefits that would have paid for treatment elsewhere.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIt was worth every penny for us,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n The effectiveness of Eyvazzadeh\u2019s treatments is a trade secret. She doesn\u2019t report her data to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as is federally mandated (but not enforced (opens in new tab)<\/a>) or the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, which tracks IVF success rates. She thinks SART\u2019s stats don\u2019t offer enough specificity. Instead, she offers data directly to prospective patients: \u201cTell me your age, tell me your [Anti-Mullerian Hormone (opens in new tab)<\/a> level], tell me what you\u2019ve been through, and I\u2019ll give you a personalized likelihood of success,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m not trying to hide anything.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Her clinic has several vats with liquid nitrogen where embryos are stored. <\/p>\n Eyvazzadeh bubbles with excitement when she notices a particularly \u201cbeautiful\u201d embryo. \u200b<\/p>\n![\"A](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/-S3840x2560-FPNG.png\"\/)
