Use the comment button on the bottom left to have your say <\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, the 23-year-old held out for his move to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rousingthekop.com\/club\/manager\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Liverpool <\/a>and has proved to be a thorn in Eddie Howe\u2019s side ever since.<\/p>\n<p>After scoring at St James\u2019 Park in August, his double on Saturday made it three goals in two games against them. Use the comment button on the bottom left to have your say <\/p>\n<p>   Steven Gerrard reacts to Ekitike \u2018banter\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Ekitike was interviewed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tntsports.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">TNT Sports<\/a> after the match, with Steven Gerrard clearly a very big fan.<\/p>\n<p>Asked to comment on his winding up of the Newcastle supporters at Anfield, the former Liverpool captain  said Ekitike was well within his rights to respond to \u2018banter\u2019 from the stands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust a bit of banter,\u201d Gerrard said. \u201cThe players take enough stick from the stands, this is just rubbing it in a bit. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was linked with them wasn\u2019t he. Thankfully Liverpool got him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>How different things could have been if Ekitike had made a different decision.
