Carlos Alcaraz has become the youngest career Grand Slam winner in history with a four-set win against Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open final.<\/p>\n

After surviving a first set onslaught from the tennis legend, Alcaraz steadied over the remainder of the match to win 2-6 6-2 6-3 7-5 in three hours, four minutes at Rod Laver Arena.<\/p>\n

The world no.1’s victory saw him break Don Budge’s 88-year record as the youngest career Grand Slam winner at 22 years, 272 days, eclipsing Budge at 22 years, 363 days.<\/p>\n

Alcaraz will now be targeting more major titles and will undoubtedly be aiming to become only the third man ever to win a calendar year Grand Slam.<\/p>\n
