Kieran Tierney has urged the Celtic<\/a> board to back Martin O\u2019Neill’s push for silverware with a couple of major deadline busting signings.<\/p>\n

The Hoops are closing in on targets but the clock is ticking down on Monday\u2019s deadline with only loan duo Tomas Cvancara<\/a> and Julian Araujo in the door so far this month.<\/p>\n

Frosinone’s \u00a36m-rated winger Fares Ghedjemis and Dunajska Streda forward Damir Redzic are top targets but so far no deal has been struck for either. Talks, however, have been ramped up tonight over the Hungarian wide man<\/a>, while reports out of Germany tonight strongly suggest the Hoops are interested in Freiburg frontman Junior Adamu.<\/p>\n

Time is running out to get deals over the line and Celtic fans could be in for a grandstand finish to the window.<\/p>\n

For Tierney<\/a>‘s part, he insists momentum is growing under the Irishman with the champions still involved in three competitions at home abroad.<\/p>\n

Thursday\u2019s win over Utecht ensured at least one more round of European action against Stuttgart while Celtic are also targeting the premiership title and Scottish Cup.<\/p>\n

A hectic spell awaits Tierney and his team mates. And the former Arsenal man knows bolstering the injury-hit squad is crucial if they are to end the season strongly.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThe goal for every single club in a transfer window is to strengthen their squad. That especially holds for us going into the second half of the season with so much to play for.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have already brought a couple of boys in, and they have been great so far. Hopefully we can get a couple more and then we can kick on again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked if he was confident Celtic would be all set for a title push and Euro ties by the close of the window on Monday night, Tierney added: \u201cHopefully, aye. In the last few games with the performances we have been putting in and the goals we have been scoring, you can feel our momentum growing.<\/p>\n
