Shinedown fans were surprised with a downright treat during their stop in Milwaukee on Saturday, July 26, when the band’s lead singer, Brent Smith<\/a>, brought out his teenage son for an incredibly rare appearance.<\/p>\n

Lyric Santana Smith, who is clearly following in his dad’s musical footsteps, joined the band on stage for a song on their Dance, Kid, Dance Tour, shocking audience members as he made his stage debut like a true pro.<\/p>\n

In a brief clip of the sentimental moment uploaded to TikTok by one attendee, Lyric, decked out in a Shinedown<\/a> hoodie and a light pair of jeans, played an electric guitar while mouthing the words to the band\u2019s hit 2008 track \u201cSecond Chance\u201d as his dad belted it out.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Smith looked back at him several times with a giant smile on his face. Lyric looked just as pleased with himself, smiling back at his dad at one point and giving a big wave to the crowd as the song ended.<\/p>\n

Smith and his son both lead very private lives outside of his work with Shinedown, so, naturally, fans were shocked to see the teen hit the stage. In fact, many had never seen him before at all.<\/p>\n

“OMFG HE\u2019S ALL GROWN UP! I love this\u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f,” one fan gushed, as another admitted, “Such a rare sighting as Brent it so private about him many people didn’t even know about Lyric! That is such a special moment!”<\/p>\n

“Omg this is the first time I have seen his son as I know how private he is. The smile says it all. \u2764\ufe0f,” another agreed.<\/p>\n

One fan was so shocked they wrote, “I think my jaw just dislocated when my mouth dropped \ud83e\udd2f\ud83e\udd2f\ud83e\udd2f.”<\/p>\n

Fans were also touched by the singer’s reaction to his son’s performance, with several drawing attention to the smile on Smith’s face when he looked back at his son.<\/p>\n

“Love this!!! He\u2019s definitely one proud dad!!!” one exclaimed. “What a moment for his son!! So awesome!!!!”<\/p>\n

“look how Brent looks back \ud83d\ude0d\u2764\ufe0f,” another encouraged, with someone else reiterating, “Brent smile says how proud he is \u2764\ufe0f.”<\/p>\n
