The honor was handed out during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/music\/music-news\/how-to-watch-grammys-premiere-ceremony-2026-livestream-online-1236489190\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">non-televised premiere ceremony<\/a> ahead of the main show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tSpielberg already has four Emmys (for The Pacific, Band of Brothers, Steven Spielberg Presents: A Pinky &amp; The Brain Christmas and Steven Spielberg Presents Taken), a Tony (for producing A Strange Loop) and three Oscars (for Schindler\u2019s List and Saving Private Ryan). This is Spielberg\u2019s first Grammy nomination as well as his first win. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cThank you to all the Grammy voters, whose recognition of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-reviews\/music-by-john-williams-review-disney-plus-documentary-1236042750\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Music by John Williams<\/a> means the world to me and our Amblin team, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey, and\u00a0congratulations\u00a0to our partners at Imagine and the Walt Disney Company,\u201d he said in a statement. \u201cThis acknowledgment is obviously deeply meaningful to me because it validates what I have known for over 50 years:\u00a0John Williams\u2019 influence on culture and music is immeasurable and his artistry and legacy is unrivaled. I am proud to be associated with Laurent\u2019s beautiful film.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tOnly 21 people have achieved the status of winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony in their careers, including past Spielberg collaborator Rita Moreno as well as Audrey Hepburn, Mel Brooks, Elton John, Whoopi Goldberg, John Legend, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jennifer Hudson, Viola Davis, composers Richard Rodgers and Alan Menken, and\u00a0Benj Pasek\u00a0and\u00a0Justin Paul.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tSpielberg has another chance to add to his Oscars total this year as well, serving <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/chloe-zhao-hamnet-steven-spielberg-oscars-journey-1236488322\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">as a producer<\/a> on best picture nominee Hamnet. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Steven Spielberg is officially an EGOT winner.
