{"id":443770,"date":"2026-02-02T00:46:10","date_gmt":"2026-02-02T00:46:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/443770\/"},"modified":"2026-02-02T00:46:10","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T00:46:10","slug":"phil-mickelson-out-of-first-two-liv-golf-events-because-of-family-health-matter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/443770\/","title":{"rendered":"Phil Mickelson out of first two LIV Golf events because of family health matter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Phil Mickelson will not participate in each of the first two LIV Golf events this year.<\/p>\n<p>Mickelson announced his decision on Sunday morning, citing the need for he and his wife, Amy, to stay in the U.S. because of a family health matter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will not be able to participate in the first two LIV events as Amy and I need to be present for a family health matter,\u201d Mickelson wrote. \u201cI can\u2019t wait to compete again and look forward to rejoining my teammates as soon as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>LIV\u2019s season begins this Wednesday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and continues with the Feb. 12-15 event in Adelaide, Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Ollie Schniederjans will sub in for Mickelson, joining a HyFlyers GC roster that includes recent signee Michael La Sasso, Cameron Tringale and Brendan Steele.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Phil Mickelson will not participate in each of the first two LIV Golf events this year.
