We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.<\/p>\n<p>Your support makes all the difference.Read more<\/p>\n<p>Music\u2019s biggest night has struck a powerful chord as celebrities spoke out against Immigration and Customs Enforcement efforts at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/music\/news\/grammys-2026-live-red-carpet-winners-b2911625.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2026 Grammy Awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Justin and Hailey Bieber, Kehlani and Joni Mitchell were among those seen wearing pins saying \u201cICE Out\u201d at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/life-style\/grammys-awards-2026-best-dressed-celebrities-b2911848.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sunday night\u2019s ceremony in Los Angeles<\/a> to stand in solidarity with the anti-ICE protests happening across America, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/world\/americas\/ice-minnesota-protests-news-live-b2911444.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">particularly in Minneapolis<\/a> following the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti.<\/p>\n<p>Rapper Bad Bunny \u2014 whose upcoming Super Bowl halftime show has <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/music\/news\/bad-bunny-super-bowl-trailer-reactions-b2902255.html\">ignited significant MAGA backlash<\/a> \u2014 received a massive standing ovation when he started his acceptance speech for the Best M\u00fasica Urbana Album by saying, \u201cBefore I say thanks to God, I\u2019m gonna say ICE OUT.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re not savages, we\u2019re not animals, we\u2019re not aliens. We are humans and we are Americans,\u201d the singer said. \u201cThe only thing that is more powerful than hate is love. If we fight, we have to do it with love. We don&#8217;t hate them. We love our people, we love our family, and that&#8217;s the way to do it\u2014with love. Don&#8217;t forget that, please.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Later in the evening, while accepting her award for Song of the Year, Billie Eilish said, \u201cNo one is illegal on stolen land,\u201d before concluding: \u201cf*** ICE.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Bad-Bunny-Billie-Eilish-split.png\"  loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Bad Bunny and Billie Eilish were just two of the celebrities to speak out against ICE during Sunday night\u2019s ceremony\" class=\"sc-1mc30lb-0 ggpMaE inline-gallery-btn\"\/><\/p>\n<p>open image in gallery<\/p>\n<p>Bad Bunny and Billie Eilish were just two of the celebrities to speak out against ICE during Sunday night\u2019s ceremony (Getty)<\/p>\n<p>Stars first sported <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/films\/news\/golden-globes-anti-ice-protest-pins-b2898480.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">tiny \u201cICE Out\u201d pins at last month\u2019s Golden Globes awards<\/a>, as well as pins that said \u201cBe Good\u201d to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/world\/americas\/us-politics\/ice-agent-internal-bleeding-minneapolis-shooting-dhs-b2900601.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">pay tribute to Good<\/a>, a 37-year-old mom who was shot and killed January 7 by an ICE agent in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n<p>Other celebrities who wore \u201cICE Out\u201d pins at the event were Carole King, Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell, Margo Price and Rhiannon Giddens. <\/p>\n<p>In addition to wearing a pin on the red carpet, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/kehlani-ap-grammy-los-angeles-san-diego-b2668077.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">30-year-old singer Kehlani <\/a>slammed Donald Trump\u2019s immigration efforts in a statement on the red carpet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted to say f*** ICE,\u201d Kehlani told <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DUOraDMk_Vl\/\">The Hollywood Reporter. <\/a>\u201cBut I think they needed some couth on the carpet or something. I&#8217;m a little couthless ruthless. It\u2019s the least I could do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She continued, \u201cI want to stand up. I don\u2019t want to draw attention to myself all the time without recognizing the humanity of all the people experiencing tragedies around the world. I want to speak up for those who can\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Justin Vernon, whose band Bon Iver was nominated for best alternative music album, told the Associated Press that he wore a whistle to honor the people who documented ICE officers\u2019 actions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think there&#8217;s a reason that music exists and it&#8217;s to heal and to bring people together,\u201d Vernon told the outlet. \u201cBut the real work are those observers on the on the ground in Minneapolis.
