Use the comment button on the bottom left to have your say <\/p>\n Jamie Carragher takes back his major criticisms of Casemiro<\/p>\n Back in 2024, Casemiro\u2019s levels had dropped drastically and he looked out of place in the Premier League.<\/p>\n This prompted Carragher telling Casemiro to leave football<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI think Casemiro should know tonight that he should only have another three games left at the top level,\u201d Carragher said then. The next two league games and the cup final, then he should be thinking, I need to go to the MLS or Saudi.<\/p>\n \u201cThis has to stop because we are watching one of the greats of modern times. I always remember the saying \u2018leave the football before the football leaves you\u2019. The football has left him. At this top level, he needs to call it a day at this level and move.\u201d<\/p>\n But now, Carragher has performed a complete U-turn on these comments, admitting he has been proven wrong.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is now fair to say the football has not left him,\u201d Carragher said on\u00a0Sky Sports<\/a>\u2018 Super Sunday Extra Time.<\/p>\n \u201cConsidering what he\u2019s producing this season in the Premier League, and not just Fulham at home, you think what he did last week against Arsenal away and Manchester City at home.<\/p>\n \u201cCasemiro is well within his rights to, if he wants to come back at me and say, \u2018leave the punditry before the punditry\u2019s left you!\u2019 He could definitely get one of those back in. Credit to him, he looks a completely different player.<\/p>\n \u201cHe looks like a different player physically as well.
