Fans of The Young and the Restless Nick (Joshua Marrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) have been rooting for the couple to reunite for years, but after an unexpected kiss, could a real reunion be on the cards?<\/p>\n

Marrow recently spoke withSoap Opera Digest<\/a>to discuss the recent story developments. \u201cThings have been sort of slowly building to this for them, they came to France to get away in this very romantic environment. Obviously, things go haywire pretty quickly, but Nick gets involved in this sort of life-or-death situation, and Sharon\u2019s doing everything she can for him, and Nick knows that. They certainly have a ton of history, and I think in that moment they\u2019re finally left alone, and\u2026 it just happens.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the July 28 episode of the CBS soap opera ended with Nick and Sharon sharing a romantic moment as the pair shared a kiss. Reacting to the moment and fallout from it Marrow says, \u201cThey have to talk about it later and sort of assess where things are with them, it\u2019s not to the place that particular fan base is screaming for yet, but it could happen\u2026 We\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n

Morrow believes that this has been a long time coming for the former couple, adding, \u201cI think things have been trending in this direction, they\u2019ve had several moments where they\u2019ve sort of locked eyes, and that old Nick\/Sharon feeling is grabbing onto them. But there\u2019s just been so much happening in France with Dumas and Cane and all this intrigue that it wasn\u2019t really something they were thinking about.\u201d<\/p>\n

With that said, the actor has mixed feelings about the couple potentially reuniting, sharing, \u201cIt\u2019s tough, because they\u2019ve hurt each other so badly, and most of that comes from a place of deep love. So it is difficult for me, because I know that unless the show is planning to keep them together forever \u2014 which I can\u2019t in any way see that happening, because this is a soap opera \u2014 then the fallout from the \u2018Shick\u2019 fans who \u2014 they actually hate Nick when he\u2019s not with Sharon. They\u2019re really tough on him.\u201d<\/p>\n
