\n\tNancy Meyers<\/a>\u2018 next feature is officially moving forward at Warner Bros<\/a> after the studio took it in turnaround from Netflix<\/a> in 2023. It\u2019s Meyers first time behind the camera in 11 years, since writing and directing Warner Bros\u2019 Anne Hathaway-Robert De Niro comedy The Intern. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe previous iteration had Oscar winner Pen\u00e9lope Cruz and Owen Wilson<\/a> attached, and they\u2019ll remain aboard with Oscar winner Kieran Culkin<\/a>, Jude Law<\/a> and Emma Mackey<\/a> in talks to join. The studio has set a Christmas Day 2027 theatrical release for the pic which Meyers also penned.<\/p>\n

\n\tThere is no title yet, and the logline remains under wraps; anything that\u2019s been previously out there is untrue.<\/p>\n

\n\tProducers are Meyers and Ilona Herzberg, with Diana Pokorny executive producing.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe latest Meyers movie was previously set at Netflix with Scarlett Johansson<\/a> and Michael Fassbender in talks at the time to join Wilson and Cruz. The price tag was between $130 million-$150 million, with $80M for above-the-line costs. Netflix couldn\u2019t do it. We hear that Warner Bros is making the movie at a significantly lower cost. Two days after Netflix pulled the plug in mid-March 2023, the project moved to Warners where they\u2019ve been passionate about mounting it. At one point, Adam Driver was kicking the tires before he committed to Michael Mann\u2019s Heat 2<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tCruz, repped by CAA, Untitled and Kuranda, won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Woody Allen\u2019s Vicky Cristina Barcelona\u00a0in 2009 and received three additional Oscar nominations for\u00a0Volver, Nine\u00a0and\u00a0Parallel Mothers. Her recent film credits include\u00a0Ferrari, directed by Mann, and she next stars in the upcoming Warner Bros release\u00a0The Bride!,\u00a0directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe WME- and Brookside Artist Management-repped Culkin won an Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe in for his turn in Searchlight\u2019s\u00a0A Real Pain\u00a0last year as well as an Emmy and Golden Globe for HBO\u2019s\u00a0Succession. Film credits include\u00a0Igby Goes Down, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Steven Soderbergh\u2019s\u00a0No Sudden Move\u00a0for HBO Max.<\/p>\n

\n\tTony and Golden Globe award nominee Law won a BAFTA and received an Oscar nomination for\u00a0The Talented Mr. Ripley\u00a0and earned an additional Oscar nomination for\u00a0Cold Mountain. His film credits include\u00a0The Order, Sherlock Holmes and the Netflix series\u00a0Black Rabbit. The actor is represented by CAA, Julian Belfrage Associates, Jackoway Austen and Pippa Beng.<\/p>\n

\n\tMackey recently starred in James L. Brooks\u2019 20th Century Studios dramedy Ella McCay. She\u00a0is best known for her breakout role as Maeve Wiley in Netflix\u2019s\u00a0Sex Education, as well as portraying Emily Bront\u00eb in Warner Bros\u2019\u00a0Emily.\u00a0Her upcoming projects include A24\u2019s film\u00a0Peaked\u00a0directed by and starring Molly Gordon, and Greta Gerwig\u2019s forthcoming\u00a0Narnia\u00a0adaptation for Netflix. The actress is repped by CAA, Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole, and Ziffren Brittenham.<\/p>\n

\n\tWilson was nominated for an Original Screenplay Oscar for co-penning Wes Anderson\u2019s The Royal Tenenbaums. He is the star of the Meet the Parents franchise and its upcoming sequel Focker In-Law. He stars on Apple TV\u2019s Stick and Disney+\/Marvel Studios\u2019 Loki. Other pic credits include Anderson\u2019s The French Dispatch, Bottle Rocket, The Grand Budapest Hotel and Life Aquatic to name a few. He is repped by\u00a0UTA and Hirsch Wallerstein Hayum Matlof + Fishman LLP. \u00a0<\/p>\n
